Supporting Independence, Your Way

Hi, I’m Diamond - the person behind Saltbush Connections. I’m an independent support worker with a lifelong passion for helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered in their everyday lives.

My journey into disability support started early. Growing up alongside siblings with cerebral palsy and autism, and watching my Nanna advocate for my Aunty. I spent years attending appointments, learning how to advocate, and being part of their care. Those experiences shaped who I am today: patient, compassionate, and deeply committed to supporting people in ways that feel respectful and meaningful.

Outside of work, I’m a big believer in balance and joy. I’m a proud pet mum to two dogs and a cat who are thoroughly spoilt and keep life entertaining. I love baking (a skill passed down from my Nanna and my Pop), getting outdoors with our dogs, going camping, and enjoying anything from a quiet night in to a spontaneous adventure. I’m also a crafty person always making something, whether it’s (trying) to crochet or trying out a new project.

Family is a huge part of my life, and spending time with my younger brothers, nieces, and nephews is something I treasure. Those connections remind me every day why I do this work: because everyone deserves support that feels genuine, flexible, and centred around their goals.

Saltbush Connections is my way of bringing all of that together, my experience, my values, and my belief in supporting people to live life their way.
